Some photos from Alverstone Mead NR

Because they get people giving them seeds and nuts, the local wildlife is pretty tame. It's a bit Walt Disney in a lot of ways, with birds around your feet and the local squirrels also popping up. In the first two Robin photos the black speck is a tiny spider dangling from the twig the Robin was perched on.

The Red Squirrel was hard to photograph as the light was going when it appeared, and it didn't keep still.

It was the Spring (Vernal) Equinox today and it actually felt quite spring-like, temperatures were pleasant and the sun was - mostly - out.

Photos taken with a Canon R6 Mark II and RF 100-400mm lens
