Alverstone is one of the best, if not the best place, on the IoW to see and photograph Red Squirrels. There's a hide just off the footpath at Alverstone Mead where the squirrels are used to people - and to being fed.
The squirrels at Alverstone are used to humans and easy to photograph. No large lenses are needed, just a short zoom.
